The Smart Systems and Automation with Arduino Microcredential Workshop is a one-week intensive engineering summer program designed for high school and rising college freshmen students interested in technology, innovation, and hands-on learning.

Through interactive projects and team-based activities, students will explore the fundamentals of electronics, microcontroller programming, sensors, automation, and introductory artificial intelligence concepts using Arduino platforms. Participants will design and build smart engineering systems while gaining practical experience in problem-solving, teamwork, technical documentation, and industry-relevant engineering practices. By the end of the program, students will showcase a fully functional smart system project and earn a microcredential certificate from Anderson University.

Upon successful completion of the week-long camp, students will earn a micro credential in microcontroller programming. Students that successfully complete the workshop may also earn course credit for ENGR 121 if they choose to attend Anderson University.
